It is a 60:40 Joint-Venture between Peter Greven Fett-Chemie (Germany) and IOI Oleochemicals Industries (Malaysia). Peter Greven has been known as a manufacturer of oleochemical products in Europe with the core business of metallic soaps, alkaline soaps and esters lubricants. IOI Oleochemicals, is a world leading producer of palm-based oleochemical products. This cooperation is a strategic step into growing Asian markets.

Peter Greven Asia has a consistent and ready supply of fresh and high quality fatty acids for the manufacture of metallic soaps due to its proximity to Acidchem International, one of the subsidiaries of IOI Oleochemicals and the largest palm-based fatty acids producer in Asia. By utilizing new and progressive technologies of its production processes, stringent quality assurance measures, backed by the parent company for continuing research and development, Peter Greven Asia is capable of producing products of excellent quality meeting customers’ expectation in worldwide. Metallic soaps are used as additives in many diversified applications mainly in polyolefins, PVC plastics & masterbatches, rubber, building protection, paper and wood coating. In additional, the products are complied with stringent pharmacopeia standards, it is also used in pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industry. All PALMSTAR stearates are Halal and Kosher certified.
